(Seattle, WA) – Been following along with Elysian Brewing’s 12 Beers of the Apocalypse series? Here is a sneak peek at the final five beers (though the artwork hasn’t come through the TTB yet).
Elysian recently announced on its Facebook page that MAELSTROM Blood Orange Ale, the eighth beer, will be released on August 21st at Elysian Fields with the official tapping taking place at 5pm. “Maelstrom will be available on draft and in (22 oz.) bottles with labels featuring the artwork of comic artist Charles Burns from his weirdly apocalyptic Black Hole series.”
The company posted a photo of one of the brewers adding in citra and amarillo hops along with orange peel into the whirlpool.
Meanwhile, the Not So Professional Beer Blog attended the National Homebrewers Conference in Seattle and snapped a pic of some of the artwork coming for the final four releases: BLIGHT Pumpkin Ale, MORTIS Sour Persimmon Ale, OMEN Belgian Stout and DOOM Plum Raisin Pale.
Stay tuned for more info on these over the coming months.
