Ranger Creek Small Batch Series No. 2 just released

Ranger Creek Small Batch Series No. 2

(San Antonio, TX) – Ranger Creek Brewing just came out with a new Small Batch Series release. More below from today’s newsletter…

Following on the heels of our Small Batch No. 1 release in May, we’re continuing our limited edition, seasonal bottle series with Small Batch No. 2. Each Small Batch release is a completely different recipe designed to be unique, interesting, and often experimental. Small Batch No. 2 is a delicious take on a style perfect for Texas summers, and it’s available both in bottles and on draft. But remember, there are only a few kegs and about 7,000 bottles for all 27 million Texans, so go grab your bottles before they are gone!

Small Batch Series No. 2 is a Texas Farmhouse Ale that comes in at 7.7% ABV. The Wallonian-style saison was brewed with spelt malt that has been smoked over 4 Texas fruit woods as a small portion of the grain bill (about 5%). The use of peach, apricot, apple and plum woods add a subtle smokiness and light fruit texture to the earthy-sweet spelt, and marries well with the complexities of the Belgian farmhouse yeast. Earthy, peppery spice, herbal notes, soft ripe fruitiness and light smoke phenols come from fermenting at high temperatures and create a deep, refreshing character. Highly attenuated for a quenching dryness, this traditional saison is an esoteric seasonal that’s made for the Texas summer months.

Limited Edition, Collector’s Item
We’ll only brew one batch of each Small Batch Series release. As a result, we’ll only release a VERY limited number of bottles, and once they are gone they will be gone for good. Be sure to grab a couple of bottles so you can drink one and save the others to add to your collection.

Baby Belgian Bottles
We are one of the first breweries to use the unique, 375 ml bottles that we put our Small Batch Series beer in. The bottles were commissioned by Russian River, and as far as we know we are the 2nd brewery after them to use the bottles! They are the baby brother version of the 750 ml bottle that we use for La Bestia, a cool, unique, baby Belgian bottle!

Wax on, Wax Off
The bottles are wax dipped to protect them from the elements during cellaring. We even changed the wax, so the Small Batch No. 2 wax is now new, improved, and odor free!

Also Available on Draft!
Small Batch No. 2 was too delicious and refreshing to have in bottles only, so we also released it on draft! Look for it at the select Texas craft beer retailers listed in the right column of this email, This will be the only Small Batch release this year that will be available on draft, so enjoy it while you can!
