
Rogue brewmaster, father of Beard Beer, hasn’t shaved in 34 years (video)
CNN Headline News featured Rogue Ales’ Beard Beer briefly on a recent telecast. Rogue said in its original press release that they planned to call the beer, “New Crustacean,” but the CNN report says that they haven’t decided on a final name.

I am too grossed out by this whole concept to ever have any interest in trying it. I wonder if others will feel the same? You’d think it would be a no-brainer that consumers don’t want to think about strangers hair in their food/beverages.
It doesn’t have his hair in the beer. They got a “wild” yeast from his beard and cultivated the strain. It’s cleaner than spontaneous fermentation.
Most people won’t get that, so yeah, not such a great idea from a marketing perspective.
