Now featured in the The Craft Beer Club: Connecticut’s Thomas Hooker Brewery and California’s Tied House Brewery.

Featured Beers:

Each shipment includes 12 beers: 3 beers x 4 styles. Here are a few currently featured beers along with brewery descriptions.

Thomas Hooked Octoberfest Lager – Brewer’s description: “Originally brewed to celebrate the beginning of the German brewing season and the 1810 wedding of crown prince Ludwig of Bavaria and his bride-to-be, princess Therese of Saxon-Hildburghausen. This amber beer was brewed in March (“Marzenbier”) and left to age in cool lagering caves during the heat of the summer. Our rich and satisfying Bavarian-style OctoberFest comes from a special blend of imported German malts that creates a full-bodied brew and stresses a malty flavor and lingering aroma. Gently hopped and delicately balanced, its true-to-style, slow fermentation and long, cold maturation produces a luxuriously smooth, award-winning brew.”

Thomas Hooker Blonde Ale – “Thomas Hooker Blonde is our most easily drinkable brew. It’s a brilliant gold, clean cream ale with a smooth flavor. Fermented at cooler temperatures, the flavor is accentuated by a subtle malt sweetness and a delicate crispness from American and Czech hops. Hooker Blonde is our most broadly appealing style – enjoyed equally by the dedicated and the new micro drinker.”

Coastal Fog Amber Ale – “The Coastal Fog Amber Ale pours a pure, clear and – surprise! – amber color. In fact one of our panelists’ amber ring matched this brew’s hue exactly. A light beige head sits astride the beer, fading to a persistent collar that leaves some sticky lace as you go. On the nose expect big malty notes, with a pleasant citric hop aroma and prominent notes of fresh, sweet apple juice.”

Coastal Fog Pale Ale: “California is known for its coastline, fresh produce and diverse flavors. They’re also known for their Pale Ales. Coincidence? We think not. Tied House Brewery’s Coastal Fog Pale Ale has a nice dark straw color, a mild hop, flavor and a clean finish that’s as delicious on its on as it is paired with traditionally spicy or interesting cuisines (think Thai, Mexican, and even Chinese). The hop character nicely cuts the heat of the food and enhances the flavors found in these cuisines.”
