South Carolina:
This week, the Hospitality State’s only packaging brewery is expanding into the Palmetto State. Events will be held throughout the week in Greenville, Columbia, Hilton Head and Charleston. Note: BeerPulse has learned that Advintage picked up Lazy Magnolia in South Carolina.
Gulf Porter:
Just in time for fall’s leaf-kicking season, we re-released our Gulf Porter on Oct. 5 at our First Friday Charity Celebration.
Part of our original Brewer’s Choice Series, this revamped dark winter ale imparts an inviting nose of chocolate, caramel and toffee, and the rich complexity and smooth character compliments the interesting aroma with hints of plum, fig, molasses and coffee.
“It’s bolder, darker and drier,” explained brew master Leslie Henderson. The original Gulf Porter was released in the fall of 2009.
Unlike the 2009 Gulf Porter, which was available in a commemorative growler, the 2012 Gulf Porter is available in kegs, and will also be featured in our new variety pack, the Lazy Dozen, through the fall and winter.
Lazy Dozen Variety Pack:
A chill fills the air, and we hope our first variety 12-pack helps warm you and yours over the holidays.
Our new Lazy Dozen is a seasonal package, and this winter we’re celebrating our Deep South Pale Ale, Sweet Potato Jefferson Stout, Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale and Strong Gulf Coast Porter. There’s something for everyone in the Lazy Dozen, which is slated to hit the shelves in December.
