(Houston, TX) – Saint Arnold Brewing Co. shared some new beer news in an email on Thursday.

Sailing Santa began its life several years ago when people requested that we blend half a pint of Elissa IPA with half a pint of Christmas Ale. Last year, we introduced a bottled version by filtering half a batch of Elissa IPA and blending it in the bright beer tank with half a batch of Christmas Ale.
This year, Sailing Santa is returning with a slight tweak. We started by blending the Elissa IPA and Christmas Ale wort pre-fermentation. Then we added just a pinch of cinnamon. Or what a pinch would be when talking about 3,000 gallons. The result is a spiced Sailing Santa that is great to drink by itself but also an amazing beer to pair with foods, especially holiday recipes. There is a very limited number of 22 oz bottles of this year’s Sailing Santa being released to grocery and liquor stores only.
Sailing Santa will be released this Monday, November 19 and will show up in a limited number of stores throughout the week. We don’t expect it to last very long. Other cities will have varying release dates for this beer.
