(Atlantic Highlands, NJ) – On Thursday, Carton Brewing unveiled a new beer to be released in February called G.O.R.P. aka Good Old Raisins & Peanuts. Owner, Augie Carton, explains that the inspiration came from trail mix. Instead of brewing with actual peanuts which would introduce oils into fermentation that would kill head retention, the company added dehydrated peanut butter powder called PB2. The company also added raisins to the base beer which is a standard porter.
The beer is to be released in the tasting room on Sunday, February 17.
Woooh, this beer seems really interesting. It HAS to be a great beer to take with you camping/fishing…I would love to do a review on this, now I have to figure out where to get it.
