Green Flash will bring San Diego plant capacity to 100k bbls/year this summer
Even as it hits Virginia Beach, Green Flash is expanding in San Diego. The brewery — which last year sold 42,000 barrels of beer, about 7,000 fewer than Karl Strauss — will install new fermentation tanks in Mira Mesa by summer, raising capacity here to 100,000 barrels. “But that’s all we have room for,” said Lisa Hinkley, Green Flash’s vice president of marketing and co-founder. “We’re going to run out of capacity at this plant sooner rather than later.”
