Virtue Cider update: no plan to go “national” but will add new markets in 2013

Virtue Cider logo(Fennville, MI) – Virtue Cider’s Greg Hall wrote in after we linked to a blurb about the company’s aspirations including hoping to “go national.”

Hall clarified, “We don’t really expect to be a national brand at all; not in the sense of Woodchuck, Crispin, Angry Orchard.”

Virtue will add new markets in 2013: Michigan, NYC, Portland (OR) “and maybe a few more. We are happy playing in a few key markets.”

Packages will be limited to the high-end part of the segment, too, “focusing on draft and some 750’s, never 12oz.”
