Anderson Valley El Steinber Dark Lager cans make debut this month

anderson valley el steinber cansPress Release:

(Boonville, CA) – Anderson Valley Brewing Company announced this week they have packaged their popular El Steinber Dark Lager in sixteen ounce cans and have begun shipping them to wholesalers around the country. Originally debuting as a draft-only offering in September 2012, this marks the first time the Northern California craft pioneer has packaged both a lager-style beer as well as releasing a “tall” pint can.

“There’s no mistaking the growing demand for canned craft beers,” says Trey White, owner of Anderson Valley Brewing Company. “We recently added a second canning line that gave us the ability to use larger formats, so why not package our first full-production lager in our first sixteen ounce can?” Anderson Valley currently packages Boont Amber and Hop Ottin’ IPA year-round in twelve ounce cans while their Summer Solstice, Winter Solstice, and Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout are released seasonally.

Literally meaning “The Beer” in their native Boontling dialect, El Steinber is brewed with roasted Indio-Hispano® blue corn to create a toasty flavor and lighter body, while Midnight Wheat malt imparts a slight sweetness and deep ruby/brown hue. The earthy, spicy flavors of fresh Saaz hops are balanced by German Pilsner malts creating a smooth, clean finish to this highly drinkable American-style Dark Lager.
