Ordinance allowing for taproom license at Surly’s Brooklyn Center location finalized
Changes to Brooklyn Center’s liquor license ordinance that would allow for the sale of tap beer to customers at Surly Brewing Co. were finalized April 8. The city council discussed the ordinance March 11 and approved a first reading. The original ordinance only allowed for taproom licenses at restaurants, clubs and hotels. An amendment to the state law that reflects the same language as the city ordinance must be approved at the Legislature in order it to take effect.
