Production of Coors Light Puerto Rico flag cans halted, New York State AG investigating

The state attorney general’s office is investigating a beer behemoth and the National Puerto Rican Day Parade in the wake of a scandal over cans displaying the Puerto Rican flag. Coors Light tried to can the controversy Thursday, vowing to stop production on its Puerto Rican-themed can after outcries from a local community group.

2/14/14 Update: Coors is updating its Coors Light Puerto Rico label.

  2. As a Puerto Rican myself, I am not offended at all. In fact, it is kind for Coors to recognize the PR culture and celebrate it with us. Because the flag is on a can of beer does not mean that PR people are alcoholics. People are being too sensitive about this.

  3. So I guess you have no problem with Coors insulting your parents and grandparents. Oh by the way this parade has nothing to do with culture .
