Goose Island Halia, Sixth Day among new beers to be introduced in second half of 2013

Goose Island Halia label

(Chicago, IL) – Goose Island Beer Co. recently updated its 2013 beer calendar to reflect releases coming over the next six months. Here is summary of some of the notable changes and new beers.

Goose Island OktoberfestSEASONALS

Following the release of Goose Island 25th Anniversary Ale, available now, will be the return of Goose Island Oktoberfest in August. Though some reviews have come in over the last several years, 2006 appears to be the last time the brewery produced Oktoberfest on a wide scale. Label approval indicates this will be brewed in Chicago.

Harvest Ale will return around the same time as Oktoberfest.

Goose Island Sixth Day Festive Brown AleGoose Island Sixth Day, a “festive brown ale, will debut in October.

VINTAGE SERIES

In Goose Island’s Vintage series, Sofie Paradisi is the latest release, which debuted last month as a draft-only beer. Matilda Lambicus will follow in July. We have only seen a keg label approval for that one. October will be interesting as Lolita and Juliet return in bottles and on draft. Joining them will be Gillian (a draft-only saison so far as we can tell) and Halia, a Sour Peach Saison.

BOURBON COUNTY SERIES

Bourbon County Brand Stout, Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout and Bourbon County Brand Barleywine are all slated for release in November.

FULTON & WOOD SERIES

Goose Island Cucumbersome Pilsner is now available through August. Two More Weeks, a Belgian wheat lambic-style ale, returns in September. Goose Island Kisetsu, which means “season” (harvest ale maybe?), debuts in October. Goose Island Leisure Suit debuts in December.

Below is the 2013 calendar as of 6/21/13 though keep in mind that there could be changes made between now and the end of the year.
