(Oklahoma City, OK) – The latest from Mustang Brewing Co., courtesy of Thursday’s email newsletter…
—
Last Friday our OKCity brewing facility was damaged by the tornadoes that swept through Oklahoma. Luckily for us – and most importantly – no one was injured. All early indications point to the brewhouse being a total loss. Fortunately we had stocked OK distributors earlier that week with enough product to meet 2-3 months’ demand. Unfortunately, several of the tanks were filled with product that was scheduled to go into kegs this week, including our new IPA, DoppelHopper.
The outpouring of support from folks around the state and country has been amazing. We are insured well and are working with adjusters now to assess the total damage. The immediate plans are to offload production to our brewing partners in OK, WI and TN until we get things back in order. As you will read throughout the rest of this newsletter, we have a wealth of great things on the table for 2013. The storms may have knocked us down, but we are definitely not out. We are more determined than ever to make Mustang the leading craft beer brand in the region.
