
Some new Alabama beer releases on hold as state seeks to hire label approver replacement
New labels must be approved by the enforcement division of the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, which has a backlog of about 800 applications because of the departure of a staffer who was responsible for that task, a spokeswoman said. The agency is in the process of hiring a replacement, she said.

I work for a distributor and we’ve had no problems with label approvals. It’s taking a few extra days but I would not say anything is “on hold.” Tons of great new beers are being releasedin Alabama right now.
