SweetWater Brewing aiming for late July launch in Kentucky, Waterkeeper Hefe returns

SweetWater Waterkeeper Hefeweizen bottleUPDATE: SweetWater Brewing’s Steve Farace confirms that the company was in Kentucky a few weeks ago meeting with distributors but that the team hasn’t finalized things yet (soon). The goal is to launch there by late July.

(Atlanta, GA) – The latest update from SweetWater Brewing Co., excerpted from Thursday’s newsletter…

Looking towards the end of the month, a handful of our folks will be headed to the Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach to stir up some noise with launch festivities in those markets. While the locals have had our brews in bottles and 420 on draft for about a month now, they’re in for a special SweetWater surprise when the gang gets up there to show ‘em how we do.

On the heels of OBX and Myrtle, we’re shifting focus to Kentucky…Louisville and Lexington to be more specific. The team will be gearing up to finalize details to begin shippin’ some freshness to the derby state later this summer.

Waterkeeper Hefeweizen is gearing up for its return to taps and shelves later this month…and along with it, the return of our pimped-out “Save our Water” campaign. We’ve got a first look at the artwork from the campaign below.

Since we’re growing up a little bit, we’re also growing our efforts in giving back. This year we’ve added a boatload (pun intended) of new Waterkeeper® organizations to our campaign, supporting dozens of local waterways throughout the Southeast wherever our beer is sold: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

  1. Love this. Having access once or twice a year in GA or FL isn’t enough. I’ll gladly drive two hours to KY on the regular.
