Grand Teton Ale 208 added to Signature Series, Fest Bier Märzen coming soon

Grand Teton 208 Session Ale

(Victor, ID) – The latest from Grand Teton Brewing Company

We are adding one more beer to our year-round Signature Series. Since we are the premier craft brewery in Idaho, we want to embrace beer drinkers statewide. Ale 208 is brewed to be Idaho’s session ale. What exactly defines a session ale?

Flavor doesn’t have to be sacrifice with a lower ABV. Our Ale 208 is crisp with a light malt body and subtle, citrusy, hop character. It’s brewed with 100% Idaho grown grain, hops and pure Idaho spring water. The package imagery is inspired by and pays tribute to Idaho’s rich agricultural heritage and its diverse and beautiful vistas. The name comes directly from the 208 area code that encompasses all of Idaho.

Look for Ale 208 late summer in 12 oz. 6-packs, 1/2 & 1/6 barrel kegs in Idaho.

Brewers’ Series Release:
Fest Bier Märzen Lager arrives August 15th
Oktoberfest celebrations throughout the world are just around the corner. We’ve been prepping since early spring when we first brewed our Märzen Lager. Since then we’ve fermented it at low
temperatures with lager yeast from a monastery brewery near Munich. After the lager was conditioned for weeks in our cellar, we moved it to cold storage for further aging until its release.

Fest Bier will be available starting on August 15th in 1/2 & 1/6 bbl kegs.

  1. 208 is selling great at our restaurant The Shady Nook in Salmon Idaho but I don’t know how to explain “SESSION ” I read the description but am still unsure what it means . Everyone thought it said seasonal at a quick glance at the tap handle. an easy description on how to tell customers would be a help Thanks Donna (bartender) : )

  2. Session means low ABV like 4.5% or so and below in the U.S. – some hold tight to a definition that it must be 4% ABV and below. There is an ongoing debate.

  3. This beer is really just Old Faithful, a beer who’s sales have been unsatisfactory. They have rebranded it and I’m sure consumers will find it just as lackluster as its previous incarnation.
