NEW BREWERY
As we told you in the last newsletter, our brewhouse in Oklahoma City (OKCity Brewing) unfortunately fell victim to the recent tornadoes. However, with every challenge comes an opportunity. This is no different. We are pleased to announce that we will soon begin construction on our new brewhouse, which will be located in our headquarters building at 520 N. Meridian Avenue. This new facility will be double the size of our previous location, will include a tasting room, merchandise store, event space, and more. We strive to help Oklahoma become one of the premier craft beer tourism locations in the region. This new location is a big step in that direction. Stay tuned for more updates as construction ensues. Our target date for opening will coincide with OK House Bill 1431 (allowing sampling of beer on brewery premises) taking affect on November 1st, 2013.
In addition to construction on the new brewhouse, we have a number of other great things in the works. These include, but are not limited to:
– A slew of 4th Anniversary events throughout July;
– Partnering with Hanson on production of their Pale Ale, Mmmhops;
– Being the exclusive beer provider for Mumford & Sons’ upcoming Gentle-men of the Road stopover in Guthrie, OK, Sept. 6th & 7th;
– Launching Mustang beer in the Little Rock, AR, area;
– Continuing to add new beers to our SaddleBag Series; and
– The re-release of our IPA, DoppelHopper!

MUSTANG ’66
As you look on the shelves over the next couple of months, you may notice something a bit different about some of your favorite brews. We’ve undergone a bit of a branding refresh. While most changes were minor, one of our best selling brews now has a new name. After a cease and desist letter and subsequent legal fees [long story], Route 66 will now be known as Mustang Sixty-Six. Same great flavor with a sexy new look. We love this beer! So much so, we plan to release it in cans in the fall.

SADDLEBAG SERIES
Dragon’s Breath IPA – our newest addition to the SaddleBag Series – was recently released to the public in Oklahoma to great reviews. This Belgian IPA is infused with jalapeno and serrano peppers for just the right touch of malty sweetness and spice. If the ratings on Untappd (we love this app!) or BeerAdvocate are any indication, we have a winner on our hands! Limited amounts.
Which of your beers is actually brewed in Oklahoma? I have read you outsource most of your brewing. If this is true how does this support the growth of Oklahoma’s economy and not your own personal pocketbook? How can you call yourself an actually Oklahoman craft brewery if it’s not made in Oklahoma?
