(Fort Collins, CO) – At least that is what appears to be happening according to a couple new label approvals that just came through the TTB.
The only labels New Belgium Brewing has in so far with this new design are for New Belgium Fat Tire cans and New Belgium Trippel bottles.
New Belgium’s current Fat Tire can design (shown below) is a riff on the bottle design that the company has largely left unchanged since the early days back in the 90s.
New label approvals are just a step in the planning process before finished packages hit the market so we don’t know that is necessarily a done deal or will lead to a national rollout.
As we learned of this on a Saturday, the best we can do for now is leave a note with the brewery which will hopefully have a response come Monday.

I like the new labels.
Bring back the old (amber ale label)! It was so much classier.
Definitely bring back the old label!
