“I’m pleased to announce the release of 2013 The Auroch’s Horn Aged on Rhubarb for delivery beginning next week. This is my standard The Auroch’s Horn ale given a secondary fermentation on a bed of freshly harvested rhubarb. The rhubarb is a mix of our own plants and a supply from a farm near Rochester.
For those of you who got a chance to try it last year, this year’s is different due to the vastly different growing season. The rhubarb this year was much larger and mild than last, without the intense acidity. The result is that this year’s ale has a milder fruit flavor and much less tartness.”
