(Charleston, SC) – The latest from the CBX email newsletter…

Westbrook/CBX “Old Time” Series Bottle Release (10/10)
It has been over 2 years in the making. There are 4 different variations, each rarer than the next. These will likely never be made again. The long awaited “Old Time” bottle series goes on sale tomorrow (Thursday, 10/10) at The Charleston Beer Exchange, The Greenville Beer Exchange and Westbrook Brewing Company!

The base for this beer, a strong slightly-belgian style dark ale, was brewed in July 2011 and was our very first collaboration with Westbrook Brewing. It has since been aging in four different barrel sets (including Apple Brandy, Red Wine, Prichard’s Rum) and spending time bottle-conditioning to perfection. Each of the four was allowed to go in very different directions: Some sour and funked out, some rich with malty sweetness. Read about them on CHSBeer.org here!

The bottles are 750ml and the limits/prices are as follows (prices and limits are the same at CBX/GBX as they are at Westbrook):

Grumpy Old Time: $20 + tax, limit of 4 bottles per person
Funky Old Time: $20 + tax, limit of 2 bottles per person
Brandy Old Time: $20 + tax, limit of 2 bottles per person
Rummy Old Time: $25 + tax, limit of 1 bottle per person

Regarding shipping, we will be waiting until the end of the first day of in-store sales to start taking/processing shipping orders. Based on remaining, available stock, we will begin processing shipping orders at the end of the evening tomorrow according to the same bottle limits (though limits may be adjusted down as stock dwindles).

Bottles go on sale at all three locations at their respective opening times (CBX/GBX 11:00am, Westbrook 4:00pm).
