Upstate Brewing Co. signs with Lake Beverage Corp. for Rochester-area distribution

(Elmira, NY) – Upstate Brewing Co. has reached an agreement with their fifth distributor that will soon make the Elmira company’s beers available in a five county area surrounding Rochester.

Upstate owners Mark Neumann and Ken Mortensen signed the deal with Lake Beverage Corporation (www.lakebeverage.com), the brewery’s fifth distributor. Lake Beverage Corporation covers a 5 county area of western NY comprised of Monroe, Wayne, Livingston, Ontario and Yates.

Lake Beverage will distribute Upstate’s two flagship beers to bars and restaurants for draft sales and retail outlets for can sales. Distribution will begin this February.

The flagship beers are Common Sense, a Kentucky common ale, and IPW, an India pale wheat ale. Upstate also produces seasonal beers, and has their two flagship beers available in cans.

Neumann and Mortensen opened the craft brewery in July 2012 at 3028 Lake Road in Elmira. Upstate’s beers are distributed throughout the Southern Tier and Central New York by John G. Ryan Inc. of Pine City, Rocco J. Testani Inc. of Binghamton and Spirit & Sanzone Distributors of East Syracuse. Their beers are distributed throughout the Hudson Valley and NYC metro area by Oak Beverages of Blauvelt.
