Press Release:
(Denver, CO) – Copper Kettle Brewing Company is pleased to announce the expansion of their brewing system.
They are expanding from a 3 barrel brewhouse to a brand new 15 barrel brewhouse with a custom copper wrapped boil kettle from Premier Stainless Systems. In addition to this, CKBC has acquired three brand new 30 barrel fermenters, a 30 barrel brite beer tank, and a high capacity grain mill and grain conveying system.
“This will take our production capacity from 450 barrels in 2013 to a potential production level of over 3000 barrels.” – Jeremy Gobien –Head Brewer/Owner.
The purpose of this new brewhouse is to allow for more year round and seasonal bottle releases and to supply the busy taproom with a wider and more consistent selection of beer.
Copper Kettle Brewing Company currently bottles and distributes the “Mexican Chocolate Stout”, a dynamic stout with cinnamon, cacao nibs, and chili peppers.
The company’s plan is to add two more year round bottles and another addition to the limited release barrel aged series.
“Charlie’s Golden Strong”, a fine Belgian-style golden strong ale, and “Naja Imperial Red IPA”, a big, bold American Red IPA, full of intense hop flavor, are both slated for a late Spring release, and will be year round bottles for the company.
“Le Chapeau”, a French style saison aged in lightly toasted red wine barrels, is part of their barrel aged series. It will be a limited release barrel aged bottle for Copper Kettle Brewing Company and is scheduled for a mid to late April Release, in hopes of coordinating with their new patio out front. More information to come, so the company asks to check their Facebook event page for more details to come.
“Le Chapeau” is the third release in the barrel aged series this year that also included “Snowed In”, an imperial oatmeal stout with cacao nibs and local coffee and “Well Bred”, an English Barleywine, both aged in Breckenridge Distillery bourbon barrels. The next upcoming beer in this series will most likely be a Tequila barrel lime agave pale ale to be released in the summer.
