Mustang Hoplahoma Red IPA label(Oklahoma City, OK) – The latest from Mustang Brewing, courtesy of the company’s most recent email newsletter…

Mustang Beer Is Now In Texas. Starting in March, Mustang beer will be distributed in North Texas through our friends at Miller Denton. Look for us in stores and on tap in Denton, Frisco, Flower Mound, Justin, Wichita Falls, and more. We will announce launch party dates and locations soon.

The final shipment of equipment is on its way! We just received notice from our equipment supplier that the final pieces will ship from OR this week. We are as excited – if not more – than when we originally launched the company! This means we should be operational by March. It’s been a long wait since losing the OKCity brewhouse May 31st. We are ready to be brewing in Oklahoma City again soon!

In celebration of the opening of the new brewhouse, we are releasing three, new beers. The first two are part of our Unbridled line-up. We will also release a farmhouse version of DoppelHopper. Here are some details:

Rocket Fuel: An Imperial Pale Ale. 9.0% alchohol by volume. 75 IBU’s. Brewed with four hops, including a rotating variety of Australian hops that we will change seasonally. We have been sampling this at the tasting room. It has been very well received.

Hoplahoma: A red IPA. 7.5% alcohol by volume. 60 IBU’s. Brewed with a touch of roasted barley and all U.S. hops. The label pays tribute to those affected by the tornadoes last May. What do you think?

Farmhouse DoppelHopper: Doppelhopper was the first new beer we brewed at OKCity after the purchase. It was released for a short time, but never really got a chance to pull through in the market. This version will be an Imperial Farmhouse IPA. We tweaked the yeast and hops a bit to give it a cool, Belgian-like character.

Each of these beers will initially be released in kegs, then 4 packs of 12 oz bottles as demand grows. Kegs for Rocket Fuel and DoppelHopper will hit the OK market in March. Hoplahoma will release in May. Every drop of these beers will be brewed in our Oklahoma City facility. We will begin transitioning all of our other brews to Oklahoma starting in June.
