Revolution Jukebox-Hero Black IPA, Seven Fists of Deth Belgian Double IPA to debut

Revolution Jukebox-Hero Black IPA

(Chicago, IL) – Revolution Brewing Co. announced this week the debut of both Jukebox-Hero Black IPA and Seven Fists of Deth Belgian Double IPA. More below via email newsletter…

Jukebox Hero is our first black IPA and the first 2014 Hero Series release. We’re celebrating this new beer — how else — with music. We each picked a song for our own jukebox mix to be played at release parties in the area.

Stop by for draft specials and a copy of our Rev Brew crew compilation CD:

March 12 – Schubas – 6-8pm
March 19 – Archie’s – 7-9pm
March 27 – Rock Island Public House – 8-10pm
March 28 – GMan Tavern – 7-10pm

Jukebox Hero is a double dry-hopped black IPA with layers of American hops that shine against a roasty malt backdrop. 7.5% ABV.

Also available in 22-ounce bombers at our tap room and at select retailers.

This Thursday, March 6, we will debut “Seven Fists of Deth,” a beer we brewed in collaboration with Seventh Son Brewing of Columbus, Ohio.

This beer is brewed with our house Belgian yeast strain, loads of juicy hops, and Seventh Son’s housemade candi sugar. The result is a pale copper ale with aromas of orange rind, spice, and a bit of Belgian funk in the nose. The flavors follow suit with plenty of hop complexity and a bitter honeyed finish. 9.45% ABV. 105 IBU.

We will be tapping this Belgian-style double IPA on March 6 at two locations:

5pm – Kedzie Tap Room, 3340 N. Kedzie Ave. (*Please note, Seven Fists will be at the tap room only.*)

7pm – Hopleaf, 5148 N. Clark St.

Seventh Son will also be bringing their Oubliette Imperial Stout and Seventh Son America Strong Ale. This will be a great opportunity to try these special beers not normally available in Chicago. We’ll have a couple special beers to tap as well.

Here are the release dates for the next month:

3/5 – Paddy Wagon, a classic dry Irish stout that is nitrogenated for a creamy head.

3/12 – Winter Woman imperial brown ale – a more full-bodied version of Working Woman.

3/19 – Exodus, an imperial IPA with slightly toasty malt character and huge hop aroma and flavor.

3/26 – Galaxy Hero, brewed again for C2E2, an IPA that shoots a raygun blast of Galaxy and Zythos hops into your mouth and leaves a crisp, dry finish. (Also available in 22-ounce bombers.)

4/2 – Mother of Exiles, a German-style pilsner with clean drinkability. (Draft only at the brewpub and tap room this time around.)

Look for our latest packaged releases at the Kedzie tap room and at local retailers.
