
Why it may be too late to fix big bottle release events…or whether they’re worth fixing
The insularity of the scene has dissipated. Notions of beer hunting and the monetary cache of certain beers—plus the vast expansion of craft beer into mainstream culture in general lately—mean those earlier shapes for (what at least were) community-minded events are now failing us.
Much has been made of the logistical woes but not as much about the existential questions behind these long-line releases.
