Brooklyn Half Ale, a session beer designed for Swedish regulations, coming to U.S.
Oliver formulated the beer not for thirsty field hands but for the Swedish market. There, a government retail monopoly called Systembolaget allows only beers with 3.5 percent alcohol and below to be sold in grocery stores. Brooklyn Half Ale, which gets its pepper-lemon character from a Belgian yeast strain and Sorachi Ace hops, will get its American debut this fall.
