Mother’s Brewing works with distillery to create Hopped Up Wheat Whiskey

Mother's Brewing Co. logoPress Release:

(Springfield, MO) – Mother’s Brewing Company has collaborated with another local business, Copper Run Distillery, to create a Hopped Up Wheat Whiskey that will be available in limited quantities.

Copper Run utilized Mother’s summer seasonal, Sandy, as the wash. It was then double distilled and aged in Missouri oak barrels for two years. The result is a golden whiskey with a malty sweetness and strong hints of hop and grain flavors. These elements, along with orange blossom and grapefruit zest aromas, make this whiskey the perfect summer time drink that incorporates the spirit of everything Ozarks.

“Mother’s has made it a priority to partner with local businesses as much as possible since the day we opened our doors,” says Jeremy Wicks, Director of Marketing at Mother’s. “The people over at Copper Run are a great group, and we are always excited to collaborate with them.”

Only 700 bottles of the Hopped Wheat Whiskey have been made available for release, making this limited edition specialty. It is available for purchase at Copper Run Distillery or through their website, www.copperrundistillery.com.

Expect to see joint tastings throughout Springfield soon, as both companies are making plans for fans to be able to sample both Sandy and the Hopped Up Wheat side by side.

Mother’s Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery located in Springfield, Missouri. The company’s beers are currently available in bars, restaurants, grocery and liquor stores throughout most of MO, Northwest AR, and Kansas City, KS.
