(New York, NY) – The Hand Crafted Tasting Company is proud to announce its partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma society for the Summer International – NYC Craft Beer Festival – coming to the Lexington Avenue Armory (68 Lexington Ave.) in Manhattan on Friday, June 20th and Saturday, June 21st. “The Craft Beer community is well-known for it’s support of its local communities and charitable causes. We’re excited to raise money & awareness for LLS, said Robert Howell, one of the organizers.
“The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is excited to be a part of this fun and unique event! For every ticket sold one dollar will go directly towards LLS’ mission of fighting blood cancers. We are also given a rare opportunity to raise awareness of our mission with a new audience and highlight our many social campaigns. Having our amazing staff and volunteers on hand to pour some of the best beer and talk about all the amazing work LLS is doing – it is a win-win for us!,” said Amanda Bullock, Public Relations Manager, LLS.
Summer International will showcase Summer releases from America’s best craft breweries, and rounding off the choices will be international breweries bringing the total number of breweries to 75, and the beer selections to approximately 150. In keeping with the NYC Craft Beer Festival tradition, the beer tasting will be complemented by delicious food for purchase from NYC restaurants: Jesse’s Empanadas, Morris Grilled Cheese and Rosamunde Sausage Grill. All menu offerings will be picked specifically to accompany the Summer International selections. Tipsy Scoop beer-infused ice cream made with Brooklyn Brewery’s Chocolate stout is the perfect desert for the summer tasting.
“Many people, time and again, have brought up the fact that that the craft beer explosion is happening in all parts of the world, and not just in America. For our Summer International tasting, we plan to celebrate some of the stand-outs from other countries, while staying true to our roots, and continuing to bring you the finest in American Craft Breweries,” said Ken Tesler, Founder, Hand Crafted Tasting Co.
A small sampling of the 150 craft beers on the main floor include: Reissdorf Kolsch, Fuller’s London Pride, Victory Dirt Wolf, Wandering Star Zingari Wit, Perrenial Brewing Hommelbier, O’Hara’s Irish Stout, and Hobgoblin from Wynchwood Brewing. For the Connoisseur Lounge we are excited about Orval, Schlenkerla Helles, and Gavroche.
“New York City has access to so many great beers, from fresh brews made by local brewers, to internationally renowned beers of countries like Belgium, Germany, France, and Italy. This festival will showcase the wide range of beers available that make New York a special place for beer enthusiasts said Giancarlo Annese, co-author of “Beer Lover’s New York,” and festival beer curator.
