Sponsored Press Release:
(Seattle, WA) – The Beer Junction celebrates four years this Thursday, June 26th!
It’s been a great past year here. We’ve expanded our tap selection to more than 35, added cask conditioned beer, extended our hours, launched our new website with a live taplist, and met lots of wonderful customers.
Starting this Thursday June 26th, we start our week long celebration with a special bottle release and keg tapping of our 4th Anniversary Black Sands Coconut Cream Imperial Stout brewed by our friends at Fort George Brewery!
For our 4th Anniversary beer, we went for a stronger stout to celebrate the occasion, but also brewed it to hit that tropical theme of the summer time. Black Sands clocks in at 8.5% ABV and was brewed with three pounds of coconut per barrel, along with macadamia nuts, vanilla, black barley, chocolate malt, and lightly bittered with Northwest hops. We like to say that it’s an imperial stout you can enjoy on a sunny beach or by the fire.
Bottles will go on sale this Thursday, June 26th for $9.99 per 22oz bottle. Full cases of 12 bottles receive 10% off plus a free Beer Junction pint glass!
On Thursday night (June 26th) at 5PM we’ll do the inaugural tapping of Black Sands. That will kick off a tap takeover with 13 different Fort George beers on tap, including many you’ll usually only find at their pub in Astoria. Below is the lineup of Fort George beers to be on tap, the first five of which you can sample for just $4 from 5-8PM.

The Label:
Nick Bers, who also designed last year’s anniversary label, did a great job once again. Subtleties include a small rendering of our store pet – The Oscar Fish, plus a ship sailing off into the sunset as an homage to last year’s anniversary beer- Hop Sails Double IPA (brewed by Schooner Exact).
