(Chicago, IL) – Is Miller Lite coming to 12 oz. bottles? It would appear so per a fresh TTB label approval.
In March, the Chicago Tribune reported that the Heritage 1970s look would extend through September after going retro resorted in a much-needed jolt in Lite sales.
The paper also shared that the look could extend to new packages:
“In another effort to add to the brand’s turnaround, 16-ounce aluminum bottles will sport the white labeling in the coming weeks. Glass bottles are likely to get the makeover soon, but the logistics of making the change at multiple breweries seem to be holding that up.”
16-ounce aluminum bottles passed through the TTB earlier in the year and now 12 oz. bottles are approved for the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Meanwhile, the brand is pushing an #ItsMillerTime campaign in which fans are encouraged to share photos of themselves with the beer as they enjoy the summer time.
We are awaiting response from a MillerCoors representative on details around Heritage bottle release.

I hope the bottle caps will have the retro design, as well.
