Weyerbacher Nineteen and Ales for ALS IPA released

Weyerbacher Nineteen Wheat Ale

(Easton, PA) – The latest from Weyerbacher Brewing according to the brewery’s latest email newsletter…

Nineteen:
Weyerbacher is another year older… Nineteen! As we have since 2005, Weyerbacher has brewed up another bold and interesting anniversary beer.

Brewed to the classic Weyerbacher anniversary requirement of 10% ABV or more, Nineteen fits the mold and brings a new dimension to the anniversary pedigree – tartness! Nineteen is actually a hybrid of two brews – a high-ABV mango-infused wheat beer and a tart blending beer, both using pale and wheat malts and a blend of Belgian yeasts. The final blended beer features both tropical sweetness, as well as the tart citrusy character of a spontaneously fermented beer. Nineteen should cellar quite well. Cheers!

Weyerbacher’s Visitors Center will release Nineteen on Thursday, June 19th at 12:00 pm. Nineteen will be available throughout our distribution area in limited quantities in both 12 oz four packs, as well as 1/6 bbl kegs. Growlers will be available in the Visitors Center. Be sure to get your Nineteen ASAP!

Ales for ALS:
Loftus Ranches and Hopunion have created Ales for ALS to support ALS research. They have offered participating brewers access to a proprietary hop blend, free of charge, in exchange for participation in Ales for ALS™! Weyerbacher’s entry, officially called Weyerbacher IPA, weighs in at 6.7% ABV with 77 IBU. The grain bill is mostly Pale malt with a touch of both CaraAroma and CaraHell. 209 pounds of this special blend of hops into 80 barrels of beer has yielded a really, really nice IPA. Look for Weyerbacher’s Ales for ALS™ IPA at select bars and restaurants throughout PA, NJ, MD and Ohio.

By participating in this program, Weyerbacher has pledged to donate $1 for every pint sold of this IPA! Weyerbacher is proud to join the ranks of incredible breweries who are brewing great beers to help fund research to learn more about this debilitating disease. Please visit the Ales for ALS™ website for additional details on this great fundraiser!

Weyerbacher’s Visitors Center will release our “Ales for ALS” IPA on Thursday, June 19th at 12:00 pm. The only way to get this very limited one-off IPA is in growlers! Get it before it’s gone!
