WHY: The Texas craft beer industry contributed over $2.3 billion dollars to the Texas economy according to a study recently released by the Brewers Association, a national non-profit trade association. It is expected that within a decade the industry will explode in terms of its economic impact to the state. Texas is the third fastest growing state in terms of the number of small, independently owned craft breweries.
The Houston-area is home to 12 breweries and several in the making, and the demand for craft beer continues to grow across all socioeconomic groups. It is anticipated that this week-long event will attract more than 10,000 people across the region.
