(New York, NY) – The Hand Crafted Tasting Company is proud to announce the return of its NYC Craft Beer Festival – Autumn Harvest tasting at Lexington Avenue Armory (68 Lexington Ave.) in Manhattan on Friday, October 31st and Saturday, November. 1st.

On Halloween Night, the producers are encouraging costumes, and will be awarding cash prizes for the best three costumes.

“We are excited to build upon the success of the Craft Concierge Center,” said Ken Tesler, Founder, Hand Crafted Tasting Co. The Craft Concierge Center is a craft beer-focused information center that will be staffed with leading regional craft beer experts to answer any questions that are unable to be answered at the taps.

To serve in the craft beer think-tank, the promoters have retained James Tai, Certified Cicerone & BJCP Beer Judge; Ben Keene, author of the “The Great Northeast Brewery Tour; Allen Arthur, Certified Cicerone at The Cannibal; and Chris McClellan, Founder of The Brew Enthusiast, & published author on craftbeer.com.

The Autumn Harvest tasting will showcase fall releases from 75 of America’s best craft breweries, with approximately 150 selections, along with wonderfully prepared food from Morris Grilled Cheese, The Stand, and Bill’s Meatballs. All menu items were picked to pair with this fall’s craft beer selections.

A small sampling of the 150 craft beers on the main tasting floor include Founders Dark Penance, an imperial Black IPA, Downeast Cider House’s Hard Honey, Roscoe Brewing Co.’s Trout Town America Amber Ale, Cricket Hill’s Belgian Dubbel, Speakeasy’s Butchertown Black IPA, and Stone Brewing Co’s Coffee Milk Stout.

“For the fall show, I am looking for each of our selections to be indicative of that extra special something that distinguishes each one of these incredible breweries from their peers,” said Will Sanford, the festival’s beer wrangler.

The NYC Craft Beer Festival will offer three sessions. There will be one session on Halloween Night, Friday, October 31st, from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM and two sessions on Saturday, Nov. 1st, from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The first hour of all three sessions will be exclusive to VIP and Connoisseur ticket holders.

Tickets are on-sale now!

“The NYC Craft Beer Festival is a true celebration of the American craft beer experience. We invite the country’s best craft brewers to come together at one time, in one place, so attendees can sample a careful selection of autumn seasonal brews the brewers have to offer,” said Ken Tesler, Founder, Hand Crafted Tasting Co.

During the event, leading craft beer experts will host intimate, 50 people, first-come, first-served, seminars, and many brewer representatives will be available at the taps to educate the guests about their liquid offerings.

Ben Keene, author of “The Great Northeast Brewery Tour” will discuss his book, and hold a mini-tasting to illustrate key points of his seminar.

James Tai, Certified Cicerone, BJCP Beer Judge, Independent Craft Beer consultant and educator will lead a seminar on the Cicerone Certification Program. James will discuss certification levels, requirements for passing, resources, books, classes, and even people that can help build one’s level of beer knowledge. He will have three beer mini-tasting to teach participants about appearance, flavor, & mouth feel.

Finally, just 150 Connoisseur tickets are available for purchase per session. The Connoisseur package offers a speedy entrance line to the Armory and access to the exclusive Connoisseurs Lounge for the entire session where there will be an additional 12-15 rare beers not found on the Grand Tasting floor.
