Payette Brewing Company (website), our featured brewery for December, is perfect to start your collection. An adventurous group of brewers have created Payette Brewing Company in Boise, Idaho. They give a lot of information about their beers, from the ABV to the IBU, what it pairs well with, even good outdoor activities. Payette has a wide range of beers, too, some of which are sold in cans! Year-round, Payette offers up their Outlaw IPA, a hoppy beer with a malty base; their Mutton Buster Brown Ale, with a rich and nutty flavor that has a hint of bitterness; the North Fork Lager, which is smoother with herbs and spices; and the Payette Pale Ale, combining a citrus sweetness with a pine finish. They have a wide array of seasonals as well, which are available in their tap room, growlers and kegs. Payette is also really dedicated to their community. They run their own charity, donate a large portion of their proceeds one night a week, and are ready and willing to donate to additional causes.
