This month, we’re featuring the Wooden Legs Brewing Company from Brookings, South Dakota. Named in homage of Judge Brookings from the 1800s, the name isn’t the only thing this brewery has done its research on. A lot of thought goes into creating each of their beers. From the place that inspired a certain brew to the place where certain hops were grown, they know all the details and back stories. Wooden Legs Brewing Company’s homework has turned into a very well-rounded and delicious flagship line of beers, as well as some truly delightful seasonals. From their Pennsylvania Swanky and their Mystery IPA to their Wild Hare Cream Ale plus two varieties of sour, Wooden Legs’ current beer menu has something for everyone. And their flagship beers—Farmhouse Ale, Kuhl Blonde Ale, Splitrock Creek Pale Ale, Three 5 Three Stout, What We Got IIPA—are sure to please even the pickiest drinkers. They also have a shifting Pubkeep series of beers. Not into beer? Their food menu is amazing, so you won’t be left unsatisfied. Plus they have chats with their brewers, trivia nights, and karaoke!
