[Press Release:]

(Stratford, CT) – Two Roads Brewing of Stratford, CT will release their newest beer in the “Road Less Traveled” series in early November. Named Bog Wild, the beer is a tart cranberry sour made with fresh cranberry juice and spices.

Brewed using a mixed fermentation process including Lactic and Belgian yeast strains with two varietals of cranberries sourced from a local juicery–Bog Wild is an excellent addition to any holiday table. The two cranberry varietals, Howe and Early Black, come from nearby juice maker RIPE and were chosen for their exceptional flavor and deep color. When combined with a blend of spices including caraway and coriander, this mixture brings out the fresh tartness of the cranberries and creates a beautiful balance.

“RIPE helped us source the cranberries and processed them exactly the way we wanted. The cranberries are 100% traceable in origin, having come directly from the growers in Massachusetts,” said Two Roads Master Brewer Phil Markowski. “At our request they retained the seeds and skins of the cranberries after being pressed in order to contribute additional complexity to the brew. The seeds and skins provide soft tannins that add nuance and structure similar to winemaking methods.”

Bog Wild is 6.5% ABV and will be available in early November in 750mL bottles and limited draft.

Recommended pairings: turkey dinners, giving thanks, family gatherings, football (after playing or watching!).

Two Roads Holiday Ale Now in 12 oz Bottles

Two Roads Brewing’s signature Holiday Ale is changing format and is now in four pack 12 oz bottles. Two Roads Holiday Ale is inspired by the little known Biere de Noel style, a subset of Biere de Garde, both of which originated on small farmhouse breweries in the north of France. Biere de Noel, which translates as “Christmas Beer,” tends to exhibit a more malty profile than a typical Biere de Garde.

In its native France this special type of ale is brewed by just a handful of small breweries and is only available for the few weeks leading up to Christmas.

Holiday Ale is 7.3% ABV and will be released in the market in 12 oz bottles and draft starting in early November.
