(Minneapolis, MN) – Surly’s 2018 Brand Calendar is Here. Dig In.
The 2018 Surly Brand Calendar is brimming with surprises, new beers, and what we in the brewing industry call “cool shit”. We can’t wait to share it with you. Here’s what’s what:
VARIETY PACKS
When we started canning and distributing 12 oz. 12-packs in 2017, the response was twofold:
1. Alright, 12-packs! Surly rules!
2. Where’s the variety pack?
The first response was heartening. We like compliments. Thank you. The second response was understandable, because why choose between Furious
That’s why we’re pleased to announce that our first variety pack is hitting shelves the week of February 19th, and will include Furious, Xtra-Citra, and Hell
Each variety pack will include a Surly beer that’s exclusive to the 12er. Oftentimes they will be brand new.
There will be three more variety packs this year. Each one will have a wild card in addition to our standard bearers. Some will have two, all exclusive to the variety pack. It’ll be fun. Collect them all!
INNOVATION SERIES
Our brewers are ridiculously talented, and visitors to our Beer Hall often get to sample something new they’ve whipped up. That sense of adventure and experimentation is moving beyond the brewery grounds, as we’re canning some of the weird, wild fruits of their labor starting this summer. Every month or so, you’ll find a unique beer from the Surly team in the popular 16 oz. 4-pack format. You can see what we have planned on the calendar below. Yes, that’s Damien
RISING NORTH
Major League Soccer returns to Minnesota for its sophomore season, which means Rising North Pale Ale
NEW YEAR-ROUND RELEASES
Last year, we added Xtra-Citra and Axe Man

About Surly Brewing Co.
You do enough settling. That’s part of life. You owe it to yourself to drink a beer that doesn’t settle. Not settling drives Surly. It’s what drove us to convert a Brooklyn Center abrasives factory to a brewery in 2004. It’s what drove Surly’s owner, Omar Ansari, to go bar to bar, asking them to carry our beer. It’s what drove us to earn medals from the Great American Beer Festival and Best Brewery in America honors. It’s what drove us to change a Minnesota law that had been on the books since Prohibition. It’s what drove us to build a state-of-the-art destination brewery in the heart of the Twin Cities in 2014 featuring a massive beer hall, outdoor beer garden and event center. And it’s what drives us today. Surly’s not for everyone. It’s for you. Don’t settle. Get Surly
